M.I.A. is back with a bang. The rebellious rapper debuts her boisterous new single, “Bring the Noize,” which pays tribute to Public Enemy’s 1987 song of the same name.

“Bring the noize when we run upon dem,” she raps on the drum-heavy record, produced by Switch and Surkin. “It was written in lots of different circumstances, but I guess it’s coming out at a time where I think in America it’s kinda cool to hear something like this,” M.I.A. told Zane Lowe on BBC Radio 1. “It’s in keeping with what I released before, so I’m gonna gradually ease people into the new sound as the album goes on.” Her fourth album Matangi is due this fall on N.E.E.T./Interscope. “I’ve given up at this point,” she said of the oft-delayed project. “I was literally just kinda gonna start making records and putting them out from the bedroom straight on the Internet. This is my last stab at it.” The video will premiere June 21 on Noisey.com, and she will perform three club dates leading up to the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago on July 21.

After teasing, the video for Chris Brown‘s Aaliyah collaboration ‘They Don’t Know’ has been finally unwrapped. The clip for the cut, which is the latest single from C. Breezy’s new album ‘X’, features the singer dancing “with” the late R&B diva via visual projection. Many people don’t know that the original track is by Digital Back aka Black from the R&B Trio ‘Playa’ and Aaliyah and was featured on his debut solo effort. Watching the video gave me chills, especially watching the part with Aaliyah on the wall dancing. Great way to keep her spirit alive Breezy, bravo. Hear the track and watch the video below. Jay-Z reveled a big secret during Game 5 of theNBA Finals. In a commercial for Samsung Mobile, the mogul revealed that his new album ‘Magna Carta Holy Grail’ will arrive on July 4 and one million Samsung Galaxy fans will be able to download the app on June 24 and get the album for free, three days before the rest of the world does on July 7.

In the commercial, Hov is seen in the studio with Rick Rubin, Timbaland, Pharrell, and Swizz Beatz working on new music. “Pretty much the object of this album is this duality of how do you navigate your way through this whole thing, through success, through failures, through all this, and remain yourself?” I mean, I knew he was working on new material but not this soon, that commercial made me forget about that damn game completely. Im ready for this record, I haven’t been this excited about music in a while. The summer is on lock…Stay tuned and check out the commercial below.

Wale does “Bad” with some help from the original bad girl, Rihanna, on the remix to his hit single. The pop star cries out on the sultry, yet sad hook, and even throws down some rhymes. “Bad girls want a real ni**a,” she declares, while Wale raps, “All the bad girls always end up unapologetic.” This “Rih-Mix” will appear on the album along with the original as well. Wale’s album “The Gifted” is in stores and online June 25. Check out the track below.

Pharrell spreads some sunshine with “Happy,” one of the three original songs he contributed to the Despicable Me 2 soundtrack. The Neptunes hitmaker, who once again produced the soundtrack to the animated film with composer Heitor Pereira, lifts spirits and won’t let anything bring him down. “Clap along if you know what happiness is to you,” he sings over the buoyant beat. Pharrell has also recorded a collaboration with CeeLo Green called “Scream” for the sequel to the 2010 film. The soundtrack hits stores June 18, while the movie arrives July 3. Check out the groovy tune below. via rap-up.com

Miguel will roll out the second volume of his “Art Dealer Chic” 3-EP series in July.

While on the Billboard Music Awards blue carpet on Sunday (May 19), the singer told Billboard that he plans to release the first of three EPs in July, the second in August and the third in September. The three-EP series will be free and available for download online, as like the first “Art Dealer Chic” volume was.

“It’ll be under ‘Art Dealer Chic.’ It’ll be the next three installments… It’ll be [on] July, August and September,” he said Different from the first “Art Dealer Chic” volume, the second one will come with attire. “I’m pairing it along with some items I’ve designed myself,” he continued.

He also shared details on how Mariah Carey’s single, “#Beautiful,” which he penned and duets on, came to be: “The song wasn’t fully formed before we worked. The skeleton of the song, a couple of major components — the hook and the first verse — were already there. I couldn’t finish the song. I think that’s why it’s almost serendipitous that she chose the song and chose to keep me on it cause it worked perfectly. I have to give it to her, she has a tremendous amount of vision.” via billboard.com

The-Dream and Kelly Rowland are proving to be a dynamic duo. After their much-talked-about collaboration “Dirty Laundry,”which Dream penned, the two duet on “Where Have You Been” off Dream’s album IV Play. The singer-songwriter finds true love on the tender ballad, which he will perform with Kelly this evening on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” “Just a signature R&B duet record, no games, no nothing, straight down the middle,” The-Dream tells Rap-Up.com of the record, which he co-produced with Da Internz. “It was a chance for me to bond with another friend now that I have, which is Kelly.” Check out the song plus the live performance below. via rap-up.com

It was bound to happen. After teasing with snippets and live performances, Beyoncé’s “Grown Woman” has leaked in full. The empowering female anthem, produced by Timbaland and co-written by The-Dream, can be heard in B’s Pepsi commercial and may appear on her upcoming album. “It ain’t no fun if a girl can’t have none/ You really wanna know how I got it like that ’cause I got a cute face and my booty’s so fat,” sings Queen B over the marching tribal beat. This to me isn’t a good first single, much like “Girls” from her last album, dope beat….but the song itself just aint good…im not feeling it at all. Check it out below
